Writing was one of the greatest inventions of human genius and a crucial step in the development of civilization. This exhibit shows how spoken languages across the world have been transformed into writing through pictures, symbols and eventually alphabetic systems with phonetic signs. The exhibit has been displayed in the open class at several exhibitions since the mid-1990s. It is shown at Netex as a pdf file. (Version: Nordia 2018)
The exhibit is also shown at the exhibitor’s website.
