Gunnar Dahlvig
This exhibit shows the development of tennis from a medieval ball-game and upper-class pastime to today’s modern tennis. It describes how the game is played, the competition world, the clubs and federations, and how tennis has become big business. The exhibit was scanned in 2007 and last shown at the Norrphil 2009 exhibition.
Gunnar Dahlvig (1929–2020) was the chairman of the Swedish Association of Thematic Stamp Collectors 1976–1988 and later the association’s honorary chairman. With permission from Gunnar’s family, the association shows some of his exhibits on Netex, as part of an exhibition in memory of Gunnar Dahlvig.
